KuKirin · 2026 version

THE G2.

800 watts. 28 mph. The scooter the rest of the range grew out of.

KuKirin G2 2026 side profile
01

Light enough to lift. Built enough to matter.

About 26 kg, and it folds to 54 cm tall in a few seconds — into a boot, under the stairs, onto a train. A steel-and-aluminium hybrid frame, spring suspension at both ends, 10-inch tubeless tyres with real tread, and 120 kg of rider allowance. Lane, park path, gravel: it doesn't ask.

KuKirin G2 2026 front fork, mudguard and disc brake
02

A mudguard, finally.

The one thing G2 owners kept asking for is now in the box — and we fit it before you collect. Behind it: disc brakes front and rear (an enlarged front disc for 2026, 160mm at the back) plus an e-brake, and a controller sealed to IPX7. The whole scooter stays IP54: splash-resistant, not for rain or puddles.

03

Seven lights deep

A headlight built into the display pod, indicators, a tail light that flashes when you brake, and side lights so you're seen from every angle. The LED display runs the show: three riding modes (25 / 35 / 45 km/h), cruise control, and your numbers at a glance. Dusk isn't a curfew.

55km*

*on paper — a 65 kg rider at a steady middle speed. Ridden the way it invites you to ride it, plan 25–35 km per charge from the 48V 15Ah battery — then 8–9 hours on the charger overnight. You'll hear the honest number in our shop before you ever buy; that's the point of buying from one.

New for 2026

①Front mudguardin the box, three screws — fitted for you on collection
②Controller sealed to IPX7the electronics that matter most, best protected
③Enlarged front discmore bite at the wheel that does most of the stopping

Carried over from the 2025 upgrade: 160mm rear disc · flush tail light in the reinforced rear step · fully wrapped footboard · thicker front fork

Don't take our word for it

KuKirin's own unboxing, then two independent reviews — not ours, not paid, just people who ride.

Quick answers

Is it road legal?

No — private land with permission only, like every e-scooter in NI. Full rules here.

What range will I really get?

Plan 25–35 km (15–22 miles). The low mode stretches further; full-throttle fun spends it faster. The 55 km on the box is a lab number.

What's different about the 2026 version?

A front mudguard (in the box — we fit it), a controller sealed to IPX7 and a bigger front disc. The 160mm rear disc, flush tail light, reinforced step, wrapped deck and thicker fork arrived with the 2025 upgrade and carry over. Same 800W heart.

Is it waterproof?

No — IP54 means splash-resistant. Fine for a damp path, not for rain, puddles or a hose. Water damage isn't covered under warranty.

Which G2 should I buy?

This one if you want the light, liftable all-rounder. G2 Max for more motor, more range and a seat. G2 Master for the dual-motor full-fat one.

About this ride

The KuKirin G2 Electric Scooter (2026 Version) in detail

The G2 is the scooter the rest of KuKirin's G-range grew out of — and for most riders it's still the sweet spot. One 800W rear hub motor (1,200W peak), a 48V 15Ah battery, spring suspension at both ends and 10-inch tubeless tyres with enough tread for lanes, park paths and gravel. Three riding modes (25 / 35 / 45 km/h) keep it sensible when you need it to be, 160mm disc brakes haul it up, and at around 26 kg it folds flat enough to lift into a boot without a second pair of hands.

  • Front mudguard — the one thing G2 owners kept asking for. It comes in the box and fits with three screws (we fit it for you on collection).
  • Controller sealed to IPX7 — the electronics that matter most are now the best-protected part of the scooter. The scooter as a whole stays IP54: splash-resistant, not for rain or puddles.

Honest range talk: KuKirin quote up to 55 km on paper — and that's a 65 kg rider at a steady middle speed. Ridden the way this thing invites you to ride it, plan around 25–35 km (15–22 miles) per charge. That's still a proper afternoon out — we'd just rather you heard it from us than found out in a field.
Where can you ride it? Private land with the landowner's permission — e-scooters aren't road-legal in Northern Ireland. The full plain-English rules are in our guide: NI e-scooter law, explained.

Questions people ask about the KuKirin G2

The answers we give across the counter, written down. Speeds and ranges are private-land figures.

How fast does the KuKirin G2 go?

28 mph (45 km/h) flat out. It has three riding modes, roughly 16, 22 and 28 mph, so you can keep it sensible for a new rider and open it up when you want to.

What range does the KuKirin G2 really get?

KuKirin quote up to 34 miles (55 km), which is a light rider at a steady middle speed. Ridden the way it invites you to ride it, plan on 15 to 22 miles (25 to 35 km) per charge. Gentle riding in the low mode stretches that; full throttle uses it faster.

Is the KuKirin G2 road legal in Northern Ireland?

No. Like every privately owned e-scooter in Northern Ireland and the rest of the UK, the G2 can only be ridden on private land with the landowner's permission. The plain-English rules are in our guide: NI e-scooter law, explained.

Is the KuKirin G2 waterproof?

No, it is splash-resistant (IP54). The 2026 model seals the controller to IPX7, but the scooter as a whole is fine on a damp path and not for rain, puddles or a hose. Water damage isn't covered by the warranty.

How long does the KuKirin G2 take to charge?

8 to 9 hours from empty with the supplied 54.6V 2A charger, so overnight.

How heavy is the G2, and does it fold?

About 26 kg. It folds in a few seconds to 126 × 66 × 54 cm, small enough for a car boot or under the stairs, and one person can lift it. Maximum rider weight is 120 kg (19 stone).

What's the difference between the G2, the G2 Max and the G2 Master?

The G2 is the light all-rounder: one 800W motor, 28 mph, a 48V 15Ah battery, about 26 kg. The G2 Max steps up to 1000W, 34 mph and a 48V 20.8Ah battery, comes with a seat, and weighs about 32 kg. The G2 Master drives both wheels with dual 1000W motors, 37 mph, a 52V 20.8Ah battery and hydraulic suspension, at 33 kg. All three are compared side by side on our KuKirin range guide.

What's new on the 2026 KuKirin G2?

A front mudguard in the box (we fit it before you collect), the controller sealed to IPX7, and an enlarged front brake disc. It keeps the 2025 upgrades: the 160 mm rear disc, the flush tail light in the reinforced rear step, the fully wrapped footboard and the thicker front fork.

Who fixes the KuKirin G2, and what's the warranty?

We do, in our own workshop in Cookstown, with KuKirin parts on the shelf, so you're never posting it anywhere. Every G2 comes with our 1-year guarantee and 30-day returns.
