REVVI 16" XL

The first proper motorbike. Three speeds, hydraulic brakes, and light enough for them to pick up.

01

Three speeds, so it can start slow

9.3 mph in mode one, 13.5 in mode two, 17.5 in mode three. Start a six-year-old at the bottom and leave it there as long as you like. The bike does not need replacing when they get braver — you just move the switch.

02

Hydraulic disc brakes, front and rear

Not cable brakes. Hydraulic discs at both ends, which is unusual on a bike this size and matters more than the top speed does. A child who trusts the brakes rides better than one who does not.

03

17.4 kg, and that is the point

Light enough that they can pick it up after a fall without shouting for you, and light enough to lift into a boot one-handed. Maximum rider weight 50 kg. Aluminium alloy frame on 16-inch spoked wheels.

04

Suspension at both ends

Suspension forks up front and a coil shock at the back, on proper pneumatic knobbly tyres. Grass, gravel, a lumpy field — it absorbs the things that stop a rigid bike dead. Red or blue.

35min*

That is Revvi's own figure for constant riding in the fastest mode. Drop to the slowest and it becomes about 1 hour 10 minutes. Real riding is stop-start, so most children get a good afternoon out of it. Charging takes 2 hours 50. We would tell you that in the shop, so it may as well be on the page.

Which Revvi fits your rider?

Revvi size by age and rider weight, not by how brave the child is. Pick the one that fits them now — the three speed modes handle the rest.

Not sure? Ring the shop and tell us their age and height. We would far rather sell you the right one than the dearest one.

See it move

A slow look around the 16" XL. No rider — we would rather show you the bike than someone else's child.

Where you can legally ride it

Private land only, with the landowner's permission. A Revvi is an off-road machine — it is not legal on public roads, pavements or cycle paths in Northern Ireland, and it is not built for them. Revvi say the same on their own website. Children should be supervised, and a helmet is not optional. Buy this for a garden, a field, or land you have permission to use.

Bought from a real shop.
Backed by a real workshop.

Every Revvi leaves our Cookstown shop built, checked over and charged — by people who have sold and fixed children's ride-ons since 2006. If something goes wrong it comes back to us, not into a courier's hands. Come and stand one beside your child before you decide. Collect, or tracked NI delivery.

Warranty: 6 months, Revvi's own. These are Revvi's bikes, not ours, so we quote their cover rather than invent our own — the site's 1-year guarantee is for Gorilla Karts' own-brand stock. After those 6 months our workshop is still here, with parts on the shelf.

Quick answers

What age is the 16" XL for?

Revvi rate it 6 years and up, with a maximum rider weight of 50 kg. Older or heavier, look at the 18".

How fast does it actually go?

17.5 mph flat out, with 9.3 mph and 13.5 mph modes below that. Most parents leave it in mode one to begin with.

Is it road legal?

No. These are off-road machines — private land only, with the landowner's permission, and a child should be supervised. That is Revvi's position and ours.

How long does the battery last?

35 minutes of constant fast riding, up to 1 hour 10 in the slowest mode. Recharge is 2 hours 50.

Does it come with anything?

Yes — every Revvi includes the number and name board kit, so they can put their own number and name on it.

Who fixes it?

We do, in our own Cookstown workshop. You are never posting it anywhere.

What warranty does it come with?

6 months, which is Revvi's own manufacturer warranty. Gorilla Karts' 1-year guarantee applies to our own-brand stock — we are not going to quote you a year on somebody else's product. What you get on top is a real workshop in Cookstown with Revvi parts on the shelf, for as long as you own the bike.

Is it in stock right now?

Check the button at the top of this page — it shows live stock. If it says sold out, the bikes are on their way and you can reserve one from £20 to hold it, or ring the shop and we will tell you honestly when it lands.

The Revvi 16" XL in detail

The XL is the bigger-framed 16-inch — for the six or seven-year-old who has outgrown a balance bike but is not ready for an 18. 600W and up to 17.5mph, starting at a sensible 9.3mph until you decide otherwise.

Light enough that they stay in charge of it

At 17.4kg a child this age can pick it up, turn it round and get back on without shouting for you. That sounds like a small thing. It is the difference between a bike they ride and a bike that sits in the shed.

Three speed modes

9.3mph, 13.5mph and 17.5mph. Start slow, move them up as their confidence comes. Around an hour and ten minutes of riding on the low setting; roughly two hours fifty to charge from flat.

Hydraulic brakes at this size

Front and rear hydraulic disc brakes — unusual on a 16-inch and genuinely worth it, because small hands need brakes that work with one finger. Suspension front and rear takes the sting out of rough ground, and the 16-inch knobbly tyres grip on grass and gravel, not just tarmac.

Where it can legally be ridden

Private land only — not roads, pavements or cycle paths. Your own garden, or land where you have permission. Our guide to the UK rules explains it plainly if you want to be sure before buying.
