Kids Electric Dirt Bikes in Northern Ireland: Which Size, Speed and Age?
The short answer: for most 8 to 14 year olds, the Novi NX100 (£599) is the one to look at first. Younger or smaller riders suit the Revvi 16" XL or 18". Teenagers of 14 and up usually want the Novi VR10 or the Revvi 24". Every bike here has speed settings, so it doesn't have to start at full speed, and every one is for private land only.

How to choose the right size
The age on the box is only a starting point. Height, weight and confidence matter more.
- Feet on the ground. Sitting on the bike, they should get the balls of both feet down. On a first bike they need to be able to put a foot down easily when they stop.
- Rider weight. Each bike has a weight limit on its product page. The Revvi 16" XL and 18" take riders up to 50 kg, the 20" up to 65 kg and the 24" up to 75 kg.
- Bike weight. A first bike should be light enough for them to pick up after a fall. The Revvi 16" XL weighs 17.4 kg and the 18" weighs 20 kg.
- Speed settings. Start on the lowest setting and move up as they get confident. You choose the setting, not them.
If they're between two sizes, bring them in. It takes about ten minutes to see which one fits. You can also shop by age.
The bikes, one by one
Novi NX100: ages 8 to 14, £599
The NX100 is the bike most parents ask us about. It has three speed settings of about 9, 15 and 25 mph, an 800W motor inside the rear wheel with no chain to look after, and a 48V 10Ah battery. Three sticker kits come in the box, in green, red and blue. It works as a first proper dirt bike and still leaves room to grow.

Revvi 16" XL and 18": ages 6 and up
These suit smaller riders. The 16" XL (£735) has a 600W motor, tops out at 17.5 mph and weighs 17.4 kg. The 18" (£849) has a 500W motor, reaches 19 mph and has a removable battery. Both have a slow learner setting of about 9 mph.

Revvi 20" and 24": ages 10 and up
The 20" (£1,099) has an 800W motor, a removable battery and a top speed of 22 mph, with a 10 mph setting to learn on. The 24" (£1,599) is the biggest in the range: 30 mph, a 1,000W motor and 140 mm of front suspension, for riders of 12 and up.

Novi VR10: ages 14 to 18, £899
For teenagers who have outgrown a youth bike. It reaches 34 mph on the top setting and has a 2,000W motor. It has three speed settings, so it doesn't have to go straight to full power. The range is up to about 31 miles in the best conditions.

Not ready for a dirt bike? The Novi K2, £399
The K2 isn't a dirt bike. It's a kids electric bike for ages 7 to 11, with 16" wheels, chunky air tyres and a top speed of 13 mph reached in three stages. It suits a first electric ride, and plenty of parents compare it with the NX100 before they decide.
Where can they ride in Northern Ireland?
Private land only, with the landowner's permission. That means your own garden, field or yard, a farm where the owner agrees, or a private track. Electric dirt bikes are not legal on public roads, pavements or cycle paths in Northern Ireland, and these bikes aren't approved for road use.
Always use a helmet and keep an adult nearby. We sell a kids full-face helmet for £35, and pads.

- Pay a Reservation Fee from £20 and the bike is held for you.
- Pay the rest in any amounts, whenever suits, online or in the shop.
- Collect by Friday 18 December 2026.
The Reservation Fee isn't refundable. It counts towards the price once you've paid in full.

Collection or delivery
Collect from the shop in Cookstown, or have it delivered. Bikes bought outright online come with free delivery across Northern Ireland. Delivery to mainland UK is £25 and to the Republic of Ireland £13. Christmas Club orders can be collected free or delivered for a set fee.
After Christmas: repairs and parts
We repair electric dirt bikes, e-bikes and e-scooters in our own workshop in Cookstown, including ones you didn't buy from us. If something goes wrong in January, ring us or bring it in, and we'll tell you honestly whether it's worth repairing. See our repair shop.

Questions parents ask
What size electric dirt bike does an 8 year old need?
Most 8 year olds suit the Novi NX100 or the Revvi 18". A smaller 8 year old may be better on the Revvi 16" XL. Height and confidence decide it, so bring them in if you can.
Are electric dirt bikes legal in Northern Ireland?
Only on private land with the landowner's permission. They are not legal on roads, pavements or cycle paths.
How fast do kids electric dirt bikes go?
Our range runs from 17.5 mph on the Revvi 16" XL to 34 mph on the Novi VR10. Every one has lower speed settings, and you choose which one they use.
Is an electric pit bike the same as a dirt bike?
People use pit bike, dirt bike and mini motocross bike for the same thing: a small off-road motorbike. The bikes in this guide are all electric, so there's no petrol, no clutch and much less noise.
Can I reserve one for Christmas?
Yes. The Christmas Club holds it from £20, you pay the rest when it suits you, and you collect by Friday 18 December 2026.
Do you repair electric dirt bikes?
Yes, in our Cookstown workshop, whatever the make and wherever you bought it.
